Learning
to play an instrument is rewarding, great fun,
and is an activity that can be appreciated by almost
anyone from the very young to the mature student.
I teach in a way that means that students efforts are
rewarded quickly - in no time you will
be playing recognisable tunes. This doesn't mean skimping on technique - good techniques are the building
blocks on which more advanced playing is built - and
we'll cover just enough theory to know what you are
doing.
Lessons are available
in my studio, your home, via the web or at my
residential banjo and guitar weekend sessions held in
beautiful, rural France.
- Weekend
courses for banjo & acoustic guitar.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already have
some playing experience these intensive and fun
weekend sessions are designed to quickly improve
your confidence and playing ability. Residential
courses are held each month throughout the summer at
my studio in NW France. See the link for more
details.
- NEW
FOR 2010! For distance learning I offer Webcam
courses which mean it is possible for
students to have tuition anywhere in the world where
they have access to a computer. See the link for more details.
I offer a free 'taster'
session, in person or
online, so
that your individual needs can be
discussed. If you a beginner and are unsure of
exactly what style you want to play, I will give advice on this. You can even come
and try one or more
instruments before you commit to buying your own.
