Learning
to play an instrument is rewarding, great fun,
and is an activity that can be appreciated by almost
anyone from the very young to very mature student.
My aim is to teach in a way that means that students efforts are
rewarded quickly - in no time the complete beginner will
be playing recognisable tunes. This doesn't mean skimping on technique - good techniques are the building
blocks on which more advanced playing is built - but my
teaching is adapted to suit each individual pupil to
help them reach their own goals. With lessons available
in my studio, your home or via the web, learning to play
can be achieved at your convenience.
Graham
Roberts MIfL, based in
Pays de la Loire, France offers lessons and courses in
acoustic guitar
and 5-string bluegrass
banjo and covers a broad range of playing styles - check
out the links for each instrument.
Lessons and courses, designed to
develop your musicianship, are scheduled to suit you
and your budget and include background and my own teaching
materials, which I sometimes produce for the needs of
individual students.
- NEW
FOR 2010! For distance learning I offer Webcam
courses which mean it is possible for
students to have tuition anywhere in the world where
they have access to a computer. See the link above
for more details.
A free 'taster'
session can be arranged so
that your goals and individual needs can be
discussed. If you a beginner and are unsure of
exactly what style you want to play, I can offer
detailed advice on this. You can even come along and try one or more
instruments - this can be done before you even
commit to buying your own.
Use the links to
find out about Graham Roberts, lesson formats and rates,
and your chosen instrument.
