I studied classical guitar in Manchester and I later played guitar, banjo and mandolin professionally full-time for 14 years, making many television appearances, in UK and Europe, and also played as a session musician on both live gigs and recordings.

I have written songs and instrumentals for performers and companies in UK and Europe and am a member of PRS/MCPS Music Alliance. 

As well as our  project studio here in Brecé, I owned and ran a commercial recording studio in the UK for many years and  worked at UK colleges teaching Music Technology at A level and BTEC. During my career I have worked on both sides of the microphone, both in Holland and the UK, as an engineer/producer, and so I really understand the process of recording music.

Since moving to northern France, I continue to enjoy working with music, giving both private lessons to students in person as well as by live webcam. I teach those of all ages, believing that you can start to play an instrument at any age, having  had students as young as 8 and as old as 78.
