You can learn banjo or guitar in your own home, or anywhere you have access to a computer, no matter where in the world you
are! Unlike some on-line music lessons, I offer live, interactive, one to one lessons that are tailor-made for each individual
student, not just pre-recorded, downloadable video 'lectures'!
- and there is no time wasted
on travelling!
Webcam lessons are easy to set up. It’s just like having a music teacher visit your home or wherever your computer is
at a pre-arranged time. All you
need is a PC or Mac, broadband internet connection, a webcam and a Skype
account, and a printer to print out the music sheets
that I email to you before each lesson.
Skype - Download Skype
and set up your username, password, and account. It is free of charge to download, use the
service and create an account. It is a wonderful tool to use for lessons and can also be used to talk to anyone in the world for
free!
You can download Skype here:
Webcam - You will need to purchase a webcam. There are many different types, so try and find one that will set up easily on a
stand or your monitor. The average webcam costs about £30. You will need a webcam with a built-in microphone so I can hear you
play. You will also need headphones or speakers so that you can hear me.
Paypal payments - Webcam lesson are paid for in advance via
Paypal. Paypal is a way to send money to someone via the web. You
can find out about it here:
